A Fire Risk Assessment is a legal requirement if you are responsible for a building as an employer, manager, owner or occupier that isn't used solely as a private home. In the majority of cases this has to be in a written format.
The two main pieces of legislation that cover fire regulations are:-
Fire (Scotland) Act 2005
Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006
We can provide:
We start our Fire Risk Assessments with an initial interview which can be done by telephone if needed to gain information and any relevant documentation about the property or business. We will then agree a time to carry out a site visit where we will identify the hazards, people at risk, fire detection systems in place, emergency routes & exits, activities within the property and management of fire safety to ascertain the risk of fire and harm.
We identify where actions are required to meet legislation and improve fire safety.
Our findings are produced in a comprehensive jargon free report and action plan. Where appropriate photographs are taken to evidence findings, which is especially useful for owners not on site.
We aim to be competitive and all costs will be discussed before any work is commenced.
